Use a lightweight, water- based foundation Opt for a lightweight foundation that is water-based, as it will  be less likely to melt or feel heavy on your skin in  the humid weather.

Primer is essential  Apply a primer before your foundation to help your makeup last longer and stay in place despite the humidity. Look  for a primer that has oil-controlling properties.

Waterproof mascara and eyeliner  To prevent smudging and smearing, switch to waterproof mascara and eyeliner. This will help your eye makeup stay intact, even if you get caught in the rain.

Opt for cream or  gel-based products Cream or gel-based products, such as blushes and eyeshadows, tend to have  better staying power during  the monsoon. They are less  likely to melt or fade away  in humid conditions.

Set your makeup with a translucent powder After applying your foundation and concealer, set your makeup with a translucent powder to help control shine and make it last longer. Focus on the T-zone and areas prone to getting oily.

Choose long-wearing  lip products Opt for long-wearing lipsticks  or lip stains that are less likely  to smudge or transfer in humid conditions. Matte or semi-matte formulas tend to work well  during the monsoon.

Keep blotting papers handy To control excess oil and shine, keep blotting papers or oil-absorbing sheets in your bag.  Pat them gently on your skin throughout the day to remove  any excess oil without  disturbing your makeup.

Waterproof your brows  If you fill in your eyebrows, use a waterproof eyebrow pencil or gel to ensure they stay put, even if you get caught in the rain. This will prevent any smudging or fading of your brow makeup.

Opt for a setting spray Finish your makeup look with  a setting spray to lock everything in place. Look for a setting  spray that is specifically formulated for humid conditions, as it will help your makeup withstand the moisture.

Lighten up on the layers  During the monsoon, it's best  to keep your makeup light and minimal. Avoid heavy makeup looks and opt for a more natural, dewy finish.
