Komodo Dragon  (Varanus komodoensis)  The Komodo dragon is the largest lizard species, native to the Indonesian islands. They can grow up to 10 feet (3 meters) in length and weigh around 150 pounds (70 kilograms).

Argus Monitor  (Varanus panoptes) Native to northern Australia and New Guinea, these lizards can grow up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) in length.

Nile Monitor  (Varanus niloticus) Native to Africa, Nile monitors can reach lengths of about 5 to 7 feet (1.5 to 2.1 meters) and are known for their adaptability to various habitats.

Black-Throated Monitor (Varanus albigularis) Found in parts of Africa, these monitors can grow up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) in length.

Crocodile Newt Monitor (Varanus mabitang)  Native to the Philippines, this lizard can reach lengths of about 4 to 5 feet  (1.2 to 1.5 meters).
